VOLUNTEER
The Jewish philosophy of "Tikkun Olam," or "leaving the community a better place than you found it" has inspired Barry Nickelsberg throughout his lifetime. The definition of community can be anything from the neighborhood to the world. From being a volunteer firefighter and paramedic to help in neighbors in need to creating the International Adoption Services Centre (so that baby girls in the outer provinces of China will have a chance at being adopted by loving families) Barry has found numerous ways of giving back to the community and hopefully, leaving it a better place. Below, you will find a list of current and past civic service programs with which Barry has been involved. To learn more about these organizations, please click on their logos.
